The Circuit of the Saints 1.0 is a set of three routes, divided on the basis of homogeneous territorial areas, which winds along the ancient Via del Mercato and covers the entire Vigezzo Valley, enhancing the places of faith, which also represent the main places of art and culture.
The "Valley of painters" in fact reveals itself in all its richness of history and art in the buildings of worship, forty large churches and small oratories, signs of the centuries-old devotion of a mountain area, where Vigezzo artists active both in own valley and in other locations, often outside national borders, but where artistic testimonies from distant lands are also found.
Churches and oratories are grouped according to three territorial routes, the western route, including the municipal territories of Druogno and Santa Maria Maggiore, the central route, including the municipal territories of Toceno and Craveggia, the eastern route, including the municipal territories of Villette, Re and Malesco.
